Tech One Global “Partner Recognition and Appreciation Award Ceremony”

 

Tech One Global held a Partner Recognition and Appreciation Award Ceremony at the Water’s Edge on the 9^th of June, 2011. On this cheerful occasion 18 partners received awards for their support and loyalty during the past seven years.

Microsoft received a special award for ‘being the best partner of Tech One Global from the day number one’. There were over 150 participants from many of TOG partner companies. Music was provided by Rukshan and his group and the band ‘Fire’.

The event started at 7 o’ clock in the evening with a beautiful piece of music from Rukshan’s band .

Mr. Lars Jeppesen, our CEO delivered the a very lively welcome Speech, and he called upon Mr. Sriyan De Silva Wijerathna , Country Manager Microsoft Sri Lanka to hand over the first award; to the best partner of Tech One Global from the day number one’

It was a pleasant surprise when the best partner turned out to be none other than Microsoft itself and Sriyan reminisced about the good old days when both Tech One and Microsoft launched their operations almost simultaneously in his guest speech.

After the inaugural speech there was another spot of music from Rukshan’s group and then the awards distribution started with Zia Cader, – General Manager, Sri Lanka, distributing the first set of awards to Abans, Barclays Computers and Business Solutions Systems.

Then Chandana Ranasinghe, Managing Director – Global Services distributed the next four awards to E-W Information Systems, Focus computers, Greenwich Lanka and H-One.

Next Mr. Sriyan De Silva Wijerathna distributed five more awards to John Keels Office Automation, Metropolitan Computers, N-able, PC House and Roseware Technologies.

After another short break with enchanting music representatives of Soft Logic Information Technologies, Sri Lanka Telecom Services and DMS Electronics received their awards from Mr. Wasantha Weerakoone, Chief Operating Officer of Tech One Global.

The last three award winners, Sumathi Information Technologies, Zillione Technologies, Millennium Information Technology received there awards from Mr. Lars Jeppesen, Chief Executive Officer of Tech One Global.

The Award Distribution Ceremony came to a happy ending with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Zia and everybody enjoyed the evening with drinking and dancing and the sumptuous dinner, and the Water’s Edge Lobby was filled with happy laughter.

MCA Centenary Tournament 2011- First Match

Tech One Global Cricket Team played its first match in the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) Centenary Year Division "G" 30 Overs League Tournament 2011 on .Saturday, 04th June 2011 against MJF Dilmah team at St. Benedicts College Ground.

Tech One Global   won the toss and chose to field.  MJF team scored 258 runs in the 30 overs.  Dilshan picked 3 wickets and Amal, Rashith, Janaka and Tharanga picked 1 wicket each. 

TOG team scored only 177 runs in their 30 overs.  Amal scored the highest for TOG with 68 runs.

We know that TOG team will definitely do better in the next matches in the series. 

Cheer up guys, bring the cup home…!!!

MCA Centenary Year Cricket Tournament 2011

Tech One Global Cricket Team will be playing in the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) Centenary Year Division "G" 30 Overs League Tournament 2011 under the Captaincy of Tharanga Premaratne.  Dilshan De Silva will be the Vice Captain in this series of matches.

TOG team will play their first match against MJF Dilmah team at St. Benedicts College Ground on Saturday, 04th June 2011.

Then there will be three other matches; against McLarens at Ananda College ground on Sunday, 12th June 2011, against Citizen Development Bank team on Saturday, 18th June 2011 at Thurstan College Ground and against Hemas team on Sunday, 03rd July 2011 Wesley College Ground.

Adobe Partner Training

 

An Adobe Partner Training session was conducted by Mr. Jayant Bhadauria of Adobe India on 11^th of this month at Tech One Global Training Room.

More than 15 Partners participated in this training which covered Adobe Licensing, Adobe Educational Products and Adobe Design Premium Products.

TOG Annual Staff Trip - 2011

The three day Annual Staff Trip of Tech One Global came to a happy conclusion yesterday evening. This time the destination for this cheerful event was Bay Beach Hotel at Weligama.

The TOG team, together with their families, left Colombo in two luxury busses in the early morning of 6^th Friday. Mr. Lars Jeppesen, our CEO, flew all the way from Philippines to take part in the fun and adventure. We had breakfast at the Saffron Hut, Wadduwa and reached the hotel around 11.30. The journey, with all the singing, dancing and merrymaking, was an equally exciting and pleasurable experience as arriving at the exotic destination.

The afternoon of the day was spent at the swimming-pool, playing ball, rollicking and frolicking; kids and grownups alike. Later in the evening there was an excellent Barbeque and a local group provided traditional style music, a “Paduru Partiya”.

It went on very late into the night with our team joining in the singing and music; Wasantha being the most active Thabla and Dholki player; his energetic playing was a sight to see with his hair swinging like a lion’s mane…! Almost everyone joined in the excitement of singing and dancing and Oh, what fun we had…!

The kids had a lot of fun too. They had a wonderful time running around and playing with each other while enjoying the good food and sweet drinks. Mrs. Madhu Weerakoon distributed gifts to all the kids.

The next morning everybody went down to the stretch of grass with coconut and Araliya trees bwetween the beach and the hotel to take part in the Leadership & Teamwork Fellowship Programme conducted by T.G.Mahesh Priyadarshana, Executive Course Director of “SEALS” - Spirit & Eco-Adventure Living Squad and his team of trainers.

The thrilling activities like Making the Longest Line, Prison Escape, Tight Rope Walking and Catamaran Race were sheer fun.   At the same time they taught us valuable lessons about teamwork and how to handle difficult situations.

By evening everybody was tired and the music and drinks on the terrace with a cool sea breeze were a welcome change after the strenuous activities in the hot sun. Again we enjoyed the music by the same group and the boys and girls enjoyed singing and dancing till the early hours of the next day…

We headed back home on Sunday after having a great time and on our return journey, in the bus, Wasantha got the boys and girls to sing while he played his Dholki. Though very tired himself after two nearly sleepless nights of singing and dancing, he refused to rest. He gave the ultimate lesson in the leadership when he said, “If the leadership sleeps, the ship sinks.”

Cricket World Cup Gift Bonanza 2011

The gift distribution ceremony for the Cricket World Cup Gift Bonanza 2011 Windows Sales Promotion was held at the Tech One Global Learning Center on the 11^th of April.

Mr. Peter Peiris of DMS Electronics (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. M.Yaseer of Barclays Computers (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. Ruwan Bandara of FINCO Ltd, Ms Ashika Jayamanna from H-One (Pvt) Ltd., Mr. Amila Goonetilleke from M S Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, Ms Prashanthi Keerthisinghe from ABC Computers, Mr. Chanaka Priyadarshana from Sri Lanka Telecom Services Ltd, and Mr. M.Yaseer from Barclays Computers (Pvt) Ltd received their gifts.

Gift vouchers from Cargills and Hameedia, Nokia C3 phone, return air ticket to Bangkok, 500 GB external hard drive and one night at Amaya for two persons were among the gifts distributed by Mr. Wasantha Weerakoon to the happy winners of this Gift Bonanza.
